Look for the blue and yellow 'image description' flag- it’s your pointer to our friendly, helpful, accredited Shark Bay Visitor Information Centre located on the Denham Foreshore.

Our Visitor Information Centre is part of the Western Australian Visitor Information Network, staffed by friendly knowledgeable locals who are passionate about WA, and in particular Shark Bay.

Our Visitor Information Centre is open seven days a week 363 Days a year closing on Good Friday and Christmas day only.

Services include free information on:

  • Itinerary planning
  • Maps and directions
  • Booking services for accommodation and tours
  • Attractions, events, retails outlets and local services
  • Road conditions and transport options
  • 24-hour access to information (maps)
  • Public toilets
  • Emergency contact numbers and accommodation options
  • Local knowledge and insights.

The Discovery Centre’s Rose De Freycinet Gallery offers visitors an ever changing range of local and travelling exhibitions in a large, dramatically lit exhibition space. Be sure to check the events page for what’s on, before you visit.

Explore our Discovery Museum with interactive displays throughout, a resident digital dugong, permanent Lego hunt, and untold stories of travelers past we have plenty to entertain the whole family (entry fees apply).
